Dr. Aliaga-Buchenau's German class is the first in the new facility

The LRC opened its doors in 1998 and has become the center for integrating technology into instruction at all levels of the University's language curriculum. It provides instructional technology and technical support to the students and faculty of the Department of Languages and Culture Studies and the English Language Training Institute in the use of supported multimedia applications and equipment for language instruction. The LRC maintains multimedia resources for the following programs of study: Arabic, Chinese, Classics, English as a Second Language, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese, Russian, and Spanish.  It also maintains and supports resources for the UNC Charlotte undergraduate and graduate Certificates in Translating programs and the UNC Charlotte Certificate in Business Language program.
