The LRC comprises four separate areas dedicated for students' use:
LRC Reception and Course Reserve Desk(COED 434)
The Reception Desk and Course
Reserve area are located at the entrance to the LRC (COED 434).
Students may ask for assistance from LRC student staff and check out
materials placed on reserve for their foreign language or ESL course.
LRC Classroom (COED 434)
This 50-seat computer classroom is also a public computing lab. When it is not in use as a classroom, any UNCC student is welcome to work in there.

LRC Viewing and Listening Stations (COED 434)
There are nine stations equipped for individual student work in the LRC (COED 434). These stations contain Dell GX 280 PCs with headsets with microphones that can be used for accessing on-line audio and video course materials, language software, multilingual web browsing and word-processing, and more. These work stations are divided by partitions to facilitate recording activities and individual work. Four stations contain TV/VCR units for viewing videocassettes and two stations contain audio cassette players for listening to audio cassettes.
The listening stations are a part of the public lab of the LRC and available for use by any UNCC student for computing work, accessing on-line audio and video course materials, language software, multilingual web browsing and word-processing, and printing.

LRC International Television Viewing Area
The LRC has a large TV with access to several international channels. The International TV Viewing Area also contains a VHS player and multi-region DVD player for students to view films for their classes. There is a small sofa and 5 wireless headsets are available for students to use to view international programming. The following channels are currently available:
English/Chinese: CCTV9, Channel 265 CCTV-9, an English-language Chinese channel, offers a window into China and its culture. CCTV-9's programming mainly includes news reports, while also featuring cultural and entertainment programs.
French: TV5, Channel 606 TV5 offers television programs from France, Belgium, Switzerland and Quebec, Canada. TV5 offers live soccer matches directly from France, variety shows, newscasts, current affairs programs, sports and cultural entertainment, including with English subtitles as well as documentaries about French-related culture.
German: Deutsche Welle, Channel 725 Deutsche Welle (DW-TV) is an English and German language channel broadcast from Germany. Deutsche Welle's programming covers politics, business, arts, sports, social issues, and entertainment. From the German capital Berlin, Deutsche Welle covers current events and developments in Europe from its bureaus in Berlin, Brussels, and Moscow.
Japanese: TV Japan, Channel 641 TV JAPAN includes broadcasts from NHK, including live news, documentaries, dramas, sports, variety shows, children's programming and other popular NHK programs. It also includes exclusive coverage of Sumo Wrestling tournaments.
Russian: RTVI, Channel 592 RTVi offers a variety of programming including seven daily newscasts from New York, Moscow, and Israel including "Now in America," "Now in the World," "Israel over the Week" and "Russian Panorama." RTVi features cultural and entertainment shows, movies, children's programming, and game and talk shows.
Russian: RTVI+, Channel 593 Russian entertainment channel that includes children's programs, including cartoons, movies, games shows and educational television. RTVI+ also shows classic and contemporary Russian movies.
Spanish & French: CCTV E&F, Channel 884 CCTV-E&F, produced in China, broadcasts programs in both Spanish and French in 4-hour shifts including news, features, education and entertainment programs.
